It was just yesterday, you were born………….

I had always heard my mom saying “I feel it was just yesterday, you were born!” I had never paid much of an attention to this till today when I sit down and realize that my little angel will be joining playschool next week.

Today I too have the same feeling and want to whisper to my princess “I feel it was just yesterday, you were born”.

I can clearly recall the day we got our Darling Doyel home from the hospital; all wrapped up in her brand new outfit and sleeping bag. So fragile yet so lively, so delicate yet so zestful!!! We cheered at every milestone she achieved, her first roll, first wean, first crawl, first step and her first word. My husband wanted to capture every moment in his camcorder. We wished if the moment could just be a little longer!

During one of my regular visits to the society park, I heard that the kindergartens are enrolling 2 years old kids for playschool. I liked the idea of playschool and considering that Doyel loves the company of other kids, we thought of going ahead. With a lot of enthusiasm, me along with my husband surveyed all the nearby playschools, paid the fees, did the shopping (dresses, water bottle, tiffin box etc) , attended parent orientation. And yes I am ready for this!!

I am waiting for the D Day to see Doyel getting ready for school and waving me Bye-Bye; and am sure my heart will again say” I feel it was just yesterday, you were born!”

  2. Hey jayita
Nice post :) you write very well :)
Congratulations as you start off on this blogging mode.. Trust me its a lovely experience..

Its interesting to note that we all hated going to school when we had a strict teacher around and yet, we love the idea of our little ones going to school.. :)

I wish your lovely little princess a wonderful schooling and successful academics, as she steps into school.. God Bless :)

Enjoy yourself, and trust me, that wave off to the school might be tough for you :) in the beginning.. My friend tells me that she misses her daughter while she is away in her kindergarten:) it took me thirty min of chat time to convince her that her daughter has to grow up to be smarter than her :) that point she agreed.. strange, but I think all parents feel the same way when they have to send off the children to school :)

Keep writing so we can know your world :)

    Smile,
